Summary
We first learned what the
definition of sociology is. The definition of sociology consisted of society,
social relationship, human behavior, social life, and more. It was not decided
what was best and everything we thought could be the definition of sociology.
I also learned about Operalization. Just like sociology, it defines a measure of an phenomenon that is not measurable.

What was interesting/what did you learn
When the class first
started, I had time to think about what sociology was. Our team thought sociology
is relationship between communities. In fact, it seems difficult to define
sociology as a single sentence. Every friend of mine had different opinions and
it was true. And defining abstract things like 'wealth', 'power in a
relationship', and 'depression' took a lot of time to think.

Discussion Point
I think sociology is a very broad subject. And when I think about the
word sociology, it seems boring. I wonder how sociology is being applied to our
modern society. And I wonder what fields are in sociology. I want to apply sociology
closer to our lives.
There are various types of sociology ranging from types that are often associated, such as formal sociology and cultural sociology, to somewhat unfamiliar types such as music sociology. However, the possibility of considering music sociology as a discipline is still controversial.
ReplyDeleteMusic sociology! It is interesting to hear for the first time. I should be more interested in various sociology.
DeleteI agree that sociology covers a very large area.
ReplyDeleteI think the field of sociology is largely divided into two. One is a macro social phenomenon that encompasses areas such as political activity, economic relations, and religious phenomena and another is micro-social phenomena that study specific social phenomena such as groups and individual actions.
