What may cause reduction in globalization?
(trade and contacts between different countries)
World trade declined significantly in the first half of 2015.
It was the biggest decline since the financial crisis.
The cause is the global economic downturn. Especially because of China's slowing economy and a European economic recovery. Another structural reason is the weakening trend of globalization. This is because China has changed its economic structure from the way it actively exported its products to the way it invigorate the domestic market. Manufacturers are also reducing the supply chain scattered around the world. Even a "reshoring" phenomenon is taking place where production bases overseas are relocated back to domestic. Because of these causes, trade and globalization can be reduced.
