Politics / Week5 / Lim Tae Yi

1. Summary

Politics is the process by which a group makes decisions. Politics is shown in all human groups.
In addition, political power becomes the ability to manage the distribution of resources in society or to influence the behavior of others.
Political power is not limited to heads of state, but can be seen in companies and private groups.
These powers are given the right to force people to behave in a certain way, sometimes using violence to force individuals
who do not follow these instructions to follow instructions.
Legal use of violence threatens to strengthen government authority and political power.

2. What was interesting / What did you learn

Unlike most other voting countries, Saudi Arabia found that the throne was succeeded.
According to the research, the scope of the book has expanded to allow direct sons to succeed to the throne.
Also it was interesting to mention the voting pattern in the article and cite some examples.
It is said to affect the voting according to politics, gender, age, race, etc.
Older people are more likely to vote than younger people, and minorities and races are less likely to vote in elections.
The details may be different, but I think it is a common phenomenon in many countries.

3. Discussion point

The results of the vote show that older people have higher voter turnout than younger people.
However unlike the United States, Korea does not seem to me that the elderly are leading political power of politics. What is the reason?
Also, how can we increase the turnout of young people?
