JOINING THE GLOBAL VILLAGE: TEACHING GLOBALIZATION WITH WIKIPEDIA

Globalization is not something new, but something that has always been taught. Still, there are people who are trying to improve globalization, which is the professors who teach it. Educating on Wikipedia can effectively help students understand the improvement of globalization and its globalization. Until the truth, I thought Wikipedia was inaccurate. So it felt awkward at first to teach in Wikipedia. However, writing using Wikipedia can be very helpful to students. It can attract students' interest, it can also get information, and it can also provide information that benefits others. However, there is also a caveat to these activities. First, professors should teach students not to make copies. We were told at the beginning of our first class in sociology that the professor was not allowed to make copies. Also, Wikipedia has to be like an encyclopedia. Through this class, I saw many Wikipedia articles and felt that there was a unique style of Wikipedia. When we post on Wikipedia, we should follow the style manual and write. It seems to reduce the subjective feeling and help complete neutral writing. Students should look at the topic without bias. We are taught by professors about prejudice. Prejudice affects all the media we do. Prejudice on one's subject can come from writing without even knowing it. What's important here is that students should write summaries of published studies, not their own. In addition, restrictions such as deadlines should exist. By sticking to these points, students can help countless people around the world. Students are not only giving their achievements but also giving them a function of public interest.
