Extra posting / What is more important: the actions of individuals or the environment that influences them? / Hyejeong Sohn

Q. What is more important: the actions of individuals or the environment that influences them?

A. I think the environment is more important. It is not that we do not respect the individual's character. However, an individual's behavior is constrained by social awareness. A person of a particular personality cannot act as he or she pleases outside the influence of society. This is because they are subject to social sanctions. The personality of a personal character is also constrained by society. They also try to become socially recognized if they are not socially recognized. Thus, an individual's actions are by no means exhaustive and involve actions learned in society. For example, there is a man who likes to make up. The man wants to wear makeup. However, if society views such a man with a bad view, he will be restrained in his actions. Therefore, I think the environment is more important.
