Why does Korea focus more on economic growth than

 on environmental protection?

I think Korea and Poland focus on economic growth rather than environmental protection because both countries are in the process of moving from developing to developing countries. Although the two countries are often judged to be advanced countries, there is a lot of controversy over the title of advanced countries despite their large economies. Environmental protection has been neglected as economic growth has been put at the top of the list to boost national power.
