Q. Women don’t get promoted. Why?
A. Women are not promoted because our society has long been formed
primarily for men.
In the past, Koreans believed in Confucian ideas, so men
were far superior to women. The idea has continued to grow, and even better
than the man next to her, it has led to the promotion of men. Also, when women
get married, they get pregnant and give birth and take off their jobs. The
nation has not been well equipped to protect such women.
