1. Summary
Gender and sex have a different meaning. Gender is what our society define. Sex is the person's assignment. Human biology is a very complex thing. There are lots of genetic variations. Human biology is susceptible to the society influence. So, some try to change their sex.
Gender is a socially constructed behavior. Gender is both internal and external perception. Our society defines what females should act and males should act. Usually, femine characteristic is defined as passive, sensitive, dependent, emotional. Oppositely, masculine characteristic are defined as dominant, independent, brave, active, insensitive. Ofcourse there are big biological difference between male and female, but the characteristic which society demand could be change.
Gender difference could also lead to different work enviornment. As the statistics shows, women usually role in food production or house hold maintanece. There are also difference between their academic ability. Most of the article of academic ability, men shows higher rates in education and skill level. Especially men who have professional degree are twice higher than women. These kind of educational difference could also lead to distinction between them.
2. What is intersting?
Sexisim believe that women should get equal opporutnity and euqal access to job. The sexisim who are against women are called chauvinism.
3. Discussion
In gender socialization, parents educate how they should behave. Is it right to teach them what they expect eventhough the child didnt decide their sex?
