Week 12-1/ Collective Behavior/Yerim Han 한예림

1.summary
Collective behavior is a social process and event that occurs in a voluntary manner without reflecting the existing social structure. Collective behavior is divided into three forms (an actor following an ongoing norm) or non-derivative action (an actor who violates that criterion), and a third occurs when the norm is absent, unclear, or contradictory to each other. Scholars paid far less attention to collective action than to conform or escape.Understanding how to organize social movements to pursue social change is one of the areas that sociologists study. A better understanding of how to organize these exercises can provide mobile members with the tools they need to succeed.
2.What I interesting..
I first learned that there are three classes of collective action. The most interesting of them is that they deal with the desertion in collective action.I was impressed with Johnson's positive influence on African-Americans. Johnson signed the Voting Rights Act of 1965. The 1965 Act suspended voting taxes, literacy tests and other subjective voter testing. It approved federal supervision of the state in which such tests are being used and of voter registration in individual voting areas. As a result, the turnout is said to have doubled.
3.discussion
Here we deal with examples of other countries. What are some examples of collectivism in our country?
