Extra Posting : What is the meaning of yellow ribbon?/ Kiara Juliane Annisa

Yellow ribbon symbolize hope and solidarity. The history of yellow ribbon itself can be traced in the war time. It started when the gulf war happened and united states began sending large number of troops to the middle east. Ribbon itself is already been used as a symbol of goodbye. Back during the times of heyday in the British empire, soldiers have  to part with the people that they love and as the ship is pulled away they will throw ribbon from the ship as a way of saying "bon voyage' or goodbye.

In Indonesia itself yellow ribbon is used as a symbol to show solidarity and sympathy for the victims of the May 1998 riot of Indonesia. The riots was triggered by economics problem and the main target is Chinese ethnicity.
