extra posting / How democratic is the world? / hayoung lee 이하영

Q. How democratic is the world? In recent years, is it becoming more democratic?
How about Korea (or another country of interest to you?)

A. The majority of countries in the world are governed by democratic systems. In the past, many young democracies became dictatorships ahead of World War II, but the number of democracies began to rise again after 1945. And the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1989 enabled further development. As a result, nearly half of the world now adopts democracy, and South Korea has also adopted democracy as its national operation.
