Poverty in Korea is affecting mostly the elderly

Q : Why do you think this is the case?

A : Compared to the current generation of senior citizens who lived in large families, nuclear families are now mostly. Older generations of parents and their children who spent money on education will not be well prepared for their old age. However, the growing number of nuclear families has reduced the perception that parents should be supported, and that may be why the elderly are in poverty.
