1. summary
Three criteria for defining religion are presented. The first is the sacred. A Christian Bible is considered sacred and a religious object. And most of the items used in everyday life are considered secular. However, because each person has a different value, everyday objects can be sacred to someone. Next, consider religion as the answer to existential questions, and finally, consider religion as supernatural. In order to define religion, sociologists present various criteria. However, religion is a matter of spirituality beyond human reason, so it is difficult to define its definition and make standards.
2. What was interesting/ what did you learn?
It was interesting that there were various debates about the impact of religion on society. And I've always thought about the impact of religion on individuals. However I once again thought that religion can have a big impact on society and sometimes have a bad influence.
3. discussion point
Religion is not easy to define because it is subjective. So, why do we have to define? And the truth taught in religion is beyond the realm of human reason, is it possible to compromise non-religious and religious people?
Some people belong to the religion because it is subjective.
ReplyDeleteIdeas also differ depending on the subjective point of view of man. I think it is possible to compromise if religious and non-religious people do not impose their subjective views on each other.
