Summary :

            Now we will talk about demography. Demography is about the dynamics of human population. As sociologists have to study demography so we can analyse social phenomena by number and actual data and it is accurate. The history of demography is the study of human population that has its roots, and it is like sociology as general and related with scientific and industrial revolutions. They use mathematics and demographic tool for censuses and political purposes.

            Demography needs data and methods. Based on the article, demography relies on large data set derived from censuses and registration statistics. Large data need to be measured for a long period time and it is required to develop trends in demographic indicators. The most important indicators are birth and death rates, refers to fertility and mortality. Demographers interested in migration trends or the movement of people from one location to another. Demographic transition is about the model and the transition from high rate births and death rates to low birth and death rates that can influence the economic development of country. Demography analyse the population growth and overpopulation, and in my opinion it can related with social phenomena and sociologists can analyse it and relate it with demography, from graph with timeline in certain periods. Demography can be used for analyse the score of urbanization, migration and others.

What was interesting / what did you learn ?

It is interesting to learn demography. I learn this in senior high school and it is useful for geography matery in senior high school, but it is interesting to learn demography in sociology and I realize it now, that it is related and can be analyze for social phenomena.
