Week 11 / The causes of war / Lee JaeSeong

1. Summary
Historians tend to be reluctant to seek a full account of the war. AJP Taylor describes the war as being like a traffic accident. There are several conditions and circumstances that make war possible, but it is not possible to predict where and when it will happen. However, social scientists criticize the claim by saying that some leaders make a deliberate decision.
In psychological theory, EMF Durban, John Bowlady, said that men are inherently violent and that the solution adopted by militarists such as Franz Alexander does not lead to peace. War is not going to happen if human female leadership in his hand to claim that the theory of modern feminism to lead to, but margaret thatcher and the same.To the women political leaders it.
In anthropology theory, all wars are initiated not by public pressure but by the caprice of leaders, and leaders argue that they also try to maintain an ideological justification for war.
Sociology theories collect statistical data about many wars. There are also various ways for scholars to make different claims and explain the cause of the war. However, this was largely contradictory.
The information theory, the most popular new approach now, argues that all wars are based on a lack of information. This theory is based on the notion that the outcome of the war is not randomly determined but completely determined by several factors. The purpose of collecting information is to understand the first enemy's ability, the second purpose, and getting enough information to stop all wars needs to be fully known.
Economic theory argues that war is a derivative of economic competition in a competitive international system. Marxism claims to be growing up in the class war.

2. What was interesting/What did we learn
As you can see above, many people have expressed their opinions on why war is happening. Most people believe that war was ultimately created because of the greed of a few. Since I was a child, I have thought that war has driven the bad higher classes to death to get more money. Reading this chapter, the idea seems almost certain. It is war that many weak people suffer for the sake of the few. What many are curious about is the lower classes, most of whom hate war, and it would be their wish to eliminate it and prevent it from happening.

3.Discussion Point
The reason many go to war at the risk of death is to protect their family and their country. If you were, would you run away when the war broke out? Or will you join the war to protect your family and your country? If you participate in a war, why not protect your family and your country?

  1. I'd run away if there was a war. Because I am not sure what I will do to protect my family and country. In that situation, I think getting away is the best way.

    1. Running away would be a good way, too. The best way is to protect me and my family. I also think I will run away because it is hard for my family and even me to protect.
