Why some countries have more driving accidents?
I think their economic situation is a problem. In the 1990s, when Korea was economically better off, it implemented a traffic stabilization policy. Since then, the death rate of traffic accidents has drastically decreased. Developing countries cannot afford to implement these policies. So they will have many unpaved roads. This may have led to an increase in traffic fatalities.
