I think the reason why certain countries have more traffic accidents is that of alcohol-related laws. Driving under the influence of alcohol is one of the biggest reasons for driving traffic accidents. Therefore, countries with strong laws against drunk driving will have a lower rate of traffic accidents than countries with lax regulations. Therefore, countries with high drinking culture and no strict regulations will have a high probability of traffic accidents.
