I think that's because of Ultranationalism. Ultranationalism is extreme nationalism that puts national interests before anything else. An example of this is Brexit. Brexit is due to the increased influx of refugees and the burden that the EU has to contribute. This work can be seen as anti-globalization. For example, leaders who are close to extreme conservatism, who are refusing to accept refugees worldwide, have won votes.
