Extra posting / Why Koreans and Poles value the environment less than Americans, Australian, Chinese or Japanese? / 배찬형 Bae Chanhyeong

Q. Why Koreans and Poles value the environment less than Americans, Australian, Chinese or Japanese?

A. Australia puts a lot of effort into protecting the environment and uses the environment to develop tourism. On the other hand, Korea tends to value economic growth more than the environment. Because of the small size of the country, tourism is difficult to develop. Therefore, I think there is little interest in protecting the environment to expand the technology-intensive industry.
