I think that china wouldn’t replace united states as the world’s economic power yet, because in the articles that I read even tho up until 2015 china is the world’s fastest growing major economy with growing average 10% over 30 years but they are suffering from slowing GDP growth because of the trade war that happening between China and America. And also china’s economy could turn worse if Trump goes ahead with plans to extend tariffs on Chinese products. In it’s latest global economic outlook report, the international monetary fund forecast a slowdown in china’s GDP growth to 6.2 percent in 2019 with on going trade tensions with Washington. So this trade war is going to harm china more than the US.
