Is modern democracy really "the will of the people"?
I think so. History shows that we have really hard won democratization. 5.18 Many citizens and students lost their lives in the democratic movement. Through the May 18 Democratic Movement, we opened the beginning of democratization and have been able to influence democracy in other countries. Since then, Korea has achieved democratization through events such as democratic protests in June. Such hard-earned democratization has been possible thanks to our strong will.
