Is modern democracy really "the will of the people"?
I think it's the will of the people.
Because first of all, the people can vote for the president or lawmakers. Elections allow you to classify better and worse candidates directly. And even elected lawmakers and presidents can get out of their seats if they don't care about the people. So I think it's democracy that can be done with people's will.
