Extra Posting / What’s the meaning of “Yellow Ribbon”? / Lee JaeSeong

Q. What’s the meaning of “Yellow Ribbon”?

The yellow ribbon was used in Korea to express condolences for the Sewol ferry sinking in 2014 and to sincerely hope that the missing persons will return alive. China also mourned them using the ribbon in a similar sinking. In other countries, Hong Kong uses it as a symbol of democratic movements. As such, yellow ribbons are used differently from country to country, but they contain the meaning of the origin of the movie.
