Q.Why do you think south Korea places so high on this
ranking?
A. Korean people have grown up competing with their
neighbors since they were young. It continued until it became an adult and it
was thought to be a loser. Failure or losing a bit of competition in such
situations can lead to depression and eventually suicide. So I think the
suicide rate in Korea is high.
