1.Summary

There are many ways that sociologists can use to describe social phenomena. In general examples there are power, logic, experience, tradition and science. scientific method is called "positivism".
because it can predict social phenomena based on verifiable evidence. In this field, the term also has a clear meaning and includes uncertainty in measurement.
And Social research is divided into quantitative or qualitative surveys. Quantitative methods generally utilize mathematics because they measure and measure social phenomena. As qualitative methods explore changes that can be experienced in everyday life, they collect and analyze various data in general.

2.What was interesting?/ What did you learn?

It was amazing to use science in sociology as opposed to social studies.I also learned that sociologists value ethical considerations because the participants in the socioeconomic survey should not be harmed.

3.Discussion point

Human behavior is complex, and especially individual-level predictions are more difficult, so is there any other way of social research beyond this limitation? And sociology and science are similar but there are many differences. What do you think is the biggest difference?

  1. It's a really good piece of writing. I learn a lot and feel the same. I think that society and science are getting smaller and more disruptive in social change that comes with technological change today. Based on our experience so far, we believe that society is at a point where a shift in perspective on science and technology is needed, and that this recognition should lead to a desirable development of technology and a rapid social response.

  2. Nowadays, big data is used to analyze statistics of human behavior. Sociology is a science with variable characteristics, but science has a lot of unchanging truths.
