Do you agree with this description of human nature. attributing evil to economy?

I am not sure that human nature is good. But I agree that the economy makes things worse. Humans compete for more goods. But the gap between the rich and the poor is getting worse day by day as more people have no choice but to win the competition. This gap between the rich and the poor makes even the wrong choice for the poor, and I think the economy is right in this regard to worsen human nature.
