Politics/ week5/ Jong Seo Lee/ 이종서

1.summary

Politics is originally meant to govern the country. Each of them has different meanings. Politics serves as an intermediary between forces. This means that each person's situation is different and their interests are different, so they are resolved objectively. As such, politics is seen as an important element in all the world, including the East and the West. And politicians get that amount of power because they are in the solvers' shoes. Also, those who have made a reputation for their historically outstanding ability are involved in politics. First, for example, Confucius in the East valued governing by Confucian virtues. Plato's iron-in-law also ruled those who were relatively inferior and argued that politics was justice.

2. What did you learn?

The original meaning of politics is based on mediation and rule. This indicates that the main body of politics is human. In other words, politicians must be able to realize the essential meaning of politics. Realistically, however, politics seems to be used as a means of political power and profit. The images of politicians' pessimism in Korean movies are easy to see, showing that there are a lot of negatives in reality. This is thought to be a phenomenon that has spread not only in Korea but also around the world. Thinking about politics like this, I felt a gap between the meaning of politics and the realistic situation.

3. Discussion Point

I have been talking about the shortcomings of politics. Please let me know if there is a way to address these shortcomings of politicians. And just tell me if these images of politicians were created in the media like in the movies, so that people misunderstood them, or if they were down based on real things.

  1. Politicians must keep their promises and keep faith and faith with the people. So far, many politicians have been acting and speaking out of trust in the public. In order for us not to look down on them, we have to stick to what we say. Think.
