Summary
According to Arnett, socialization is the process of preparing human
beings for social life. This socialization is divided into primary and
secondary socialization. The first socialization takes place before adolescence
and is a time when individual identity can develop. In the second phase of
socialization, more specific changes are said. The importance of socialization
can be found in wild children. Wild children may not be able to learn how to
use the bathroom, or may have difficulty learning to walk upright and may not
show interest in the human activities around them. In other words, it is
difficult to live in a human society unless it is socialized. Such
socialization involves various fields such as social class, death, and
education.

What did we learn
Among the studies on socialization, studies related social class were
the most impressive. According to Erlanger, physical punishment in childhood is
generally not related to child abuse or labor-class authoritarianism. It was
also interesting to note that working-class parents would rather freely
organize their children's time, while middle-class parents would limit their
children's freedom to lead a more organized life.

I think the role of surrounding environment in socializing is very
important. And there will be a family, a friend, a teacher, or many other
environments. So, what do you think is the most important environment in the
first socialization process?
i think that "family" is more important than other things. it is because we start to learn from parent. learning to first is always lined to the end. That is what i think.
