Socialization /week6 /Juhee Cha

1.summary
Socialization is a fundamental social and academic concept consisting of many factors. Socialization is the process of preparing humans to function in social life. Socialization is generally divided into two parts. The first socialization occurs in childhood and adolescence. 2nd socialization refers to the socialization that takes place in childhood and in meeting new groups that need further socialization. Most sociologists say that specific changes take place in secondary socialization. Socialization can be divided into broad meanings and narrow meanings. Socialization is very cultural.

2.interesting point
It is interesting that the socialization process is constantly progressing in our lives. Communication with professors in the class was also a socialization process, and the process of meeting motivations and getting close was also a socialization process. The socialization process in our lives is very important and will have a lot of impact on our growth.

3.discussion point
We found that the socialization process varies by age, and that relationships with people around us are affected. Usually, it can be divided into primary and secondary socialization, do you think that primary and secondary socialization are equally important? Then, why? Or do you think one of them is more important? Why?

  1. I think both are important. But I think the first socialization is more important to consider. The first socialization is closer and more humane than the second socialization. Also, socialization is the first socialization we see and receive as soon as we are born. Therefore, the socialization of the first round is more directly affecting us than the second.
