Q. Why do you think South Korea places so high on this ranking?

Causes of suicide can be cited for many reasons, but mental pain is an example. However, South Korea has a negative view of the counseling sessions to reveal such mental illness or mental pain. Therefore, they cannot tell their neighbors that they are taking or consulting drugs to treat the pain. This makes it difficult to prevent people from committing suicide.

According to this article, One in four adults suffers from mental illness more than once throughout their lives, but only one in ten people who have consulted with experts on mental health issues has fallen far short of advanced countries. In the past year, 2.9 percent of adults in Korea considered suicide seriously, 0.4 percent planned suicide, and 0.1 percent attempted suicide. Fifty.1 percent of those who committed suicide, 68.7 percent of those who planned suicide, and 75.1 percent of those who attempted suicide experienced mental disorders more than once in their lives.

On the other hand, only 9.6 percent of Korean adults have spent their entire lives consulting with experts on mental health issues, which is significantly lower than those in advanced countries.
