Extra Posting / Why inequality creates disorder? / 김성희 Kim Seonghui

Q. Why inequality creates disorder?

A. The reason inequality causes disorder is that it takes away the right opportunity.  People try to earn more money or to rise to a higher position. However, if they cannot achieve what they want due to their innate and acquired inequality, even if they try hard, it can be depriving people of hope. That could lead to social loss and confusion. Increasing inequality can also cause social discontent and immigration.

Inequality can also be a hindrance to economic growth. The OECD and the International Monetary Fund are releasing research results. The concentration of income among the rich is not only unethical but also hindering stable economic growth.
