Extra posting / women don't get promoted why? / Hyejeong Sohn

Q. women don't get promoted why?

A. Traditionally, women were perceived to be incompetent. This is in line with not granting women the right to vote because only men are citizens. Therefore, women were not given opportunities for education. Therefore, the perception that women cannot develop their abilities and that women will be incompetent is taken for granted. Recently, women have increased their social advancement as they have been given opportunities for education. But women are still deprived of opportunities for advancement. Cultural factors play a role in this. Men have traditionally been promoted, so they are still promoted to men. This is because promotion of men was taken for granted. Another reason is the woman's ability to giving birth. This ability causes a long work break. Therefore, such a break would cut off women's careers and prevent women from being promoted.
