Week3-1 : Culture Heo Seon Yeong 허선영

1. Summary:

Our existence is determined by biological characteristics and culture. In the past, some countries were thought to be more culturally rich than others. It was believed that most European cultures were excellent, which led to inequality in European societies and colonies. Culture had been believed in only one standardized culture that everyone in the world could be responsible for. As time passed, culture changed more comprehensively. It also lost its ranking among cultures and became a difference. There are anthropologists who say that this culture is not a product of evolution and biological evolution but a supplement. Some studies have recently found that human culture affects evolution. Culture and society are difficult to classify, but when it is artificially categorised, they are useful, such as finding answers to cultural conflicts.

2. What was interesting/what did you learn:

I enjoyed the study that human culture affects human evolution. I've seen on the Internet news that people who don't digest milk well are less evolved. As the culture of drinking milk has developed, the human body has more protein that can digest lactose.

3 .Discussion point:

In China, there was a culture where women tied their feet when they were young. Is this whole-blooded culture also without superiority? Can there be no better culture than other cultures?

  2. I don't think there is any superiority between cultures. However, I think extreme cultural opponents should be avoided. I think there is a barbaric part of the culture you are talking about, and this should not be tolerated because of its inhumanity.
